Annie M

Honoring the unsung grit of the mid-Atlantic coast, "Annie M" captures local watermen pushing out into the early fog at sunrise to lay their crab pots. Al Sprague turns his masterly eye for light and water toward the working bay, rendering the soft pastel glow of dawn breaking across cool, glassy waters. A timeless ode to hard work, early mornings, and traditional maritime life, this evocative piece brings authentic coastal charm and quiet strength to homes across Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and beyond.
