Danville Chiva Pen and Ink Cartoon

Description: Danville Chiva is an original pen-and-ink cartoon by U.S./Panamanian artist Al Sprague (1938-2025), signed and dated 1976. The owner acquired the work in the mid-1970s. It is double-matted, framed, secured to the mat with tape, and protected by glass. The artwork remains in excellent condition. Created specifically for the owner, the cartoon depicts a traditional Panamanian chiva bus, a reference to her hometown of Danville. Passengers lean out of the windows while luggage is piled on the roof, and the bus narrowly misses a bird trying to escape its path.
