Pulling in Anchor

Strained against the brilliant glare of the ocean, Pulling in Anchor captures two Bahamian fishermen working in seamless synchronization aboard their traditional wooden sailboat within the calm shelter of a harbor. As they haul the heavy anchor from the sea floor, sunlight glints off the water's surface, turning the crystal-clear harbor into a shimmering expanse of light and motion. Al Sprague masterfully frames the raw, physical harmony of island seamanship—where weathered timber, human strength, and glistening turquoise waters unite in a timeless dance of maritime life.
