Waiting for Supplies

Description: A commanding study in patience and harbor light, Waiting for Supplies captures two Bahamian fishermen resting aboard their traditional wooden sailboat while at anchor in a sunlit bay. Painted in 1988, this expansive 28" x 40" original oil on canvas showcases Al Sprague at the height of his maritime series—balancing the raw, sun-baked textures of working boats with the brilliant, luminous hues of the surrounding Bahamian waters. Housed in a custom weathered white frame that perfectly mirrors its coastal spirit, this exceptional original carries elite provenance, having been gifted to the owner by renowned art collector Bill Boyd.
